The basis of this Honda XR400 was good, it just needed a bit of love!
Nice powder coated red frame, swingarm in excellent condition and the motor ran great.

The gas tank looked pretty rough, looked like somebody tried to paint it black. Also the front headlight and the chain guard were missing.

To remove the paint marks, yellowing and scratches the gas tank was wet-sanded. Starting at 400 grit and finishing at 1000 grit. Finally going up to 2000 grit and switching to polishing compound to give it a nice even looking finish. Also polished the front fender to get it to shine like new again.

Fitted a new Ufo headlight plastic and test fitted the tank after polishing.

And finally putting the new decals on the gas tank, done!
